The RoboForm Backup4all Plugin is a free, dedicated add-on that allows you to easily automate the backup of your RoboForm Password Manager data using the comprehensive data-protection software, Backup4all. It eliminates the need to manually hunt down hidden folders on your PC by automatically locating and packaging your saved passwords, safenotes, identities, configurations, and language packs. 1. Download and Install the Plugin
You can fetch and activate the plugin directly inside the application interface: Open Backup4all. Navigate to File → Tools → Plugins. Click Refresh plugin list to load the catalog.
Scroll down to locate RoboForm, select it, and click Install. 2. Configure a Secure Backup Job
Once the plugin is installed, you can build a task to secure your data:
Click File → New (or Ctrl + N) to open the New Backup Wizard.
Where: Choose your target destination (e.g., local drive, external SSD, or a cloud server).
What: On the sources page, look at the left-side Applications list and select RoboForm.
How (Encryption): Select your preferred backup type (Smart, Full, or Incremental). To ensure your local database copy remains completely safe from unauthorized access, check the option to enable ZIP encryption and set a highly secure password.
When: Set a recurrent schedule (e.g., daily or weekly) so your passwords back up automatically in the background.
Save: Name the job (e.g., “RoboForm Secure Backup”) and click Save and Run. 3. Restoring Your Data
If you switch to a new computer or suffer a drive failure, recovering your data is straightforward:
Reinstall Backup4all and activate the RoboForm plugin using the steps above.
Go to File → Open from to pull up your original storage destination, then select your backup catalog file (.bkc).
